Application
Offer your dog their favorite toy or tasty treat. Distraction is an excellent way to avoid your dog getting nervous or excited. Start by gently cleaning up the area around the snout. For example, wipe away particles of dirt, etc., with a soft cloth or tissue.
A low-absorbent cloth works well for application; however, two fingers are sufficient. Apply a generous amount of Snout Soother gently on the dry areas of the snout: the site will become sticky and slick after, and your dog’s first instinct will be to wipe it off with his paws. To avoid this, allow the product to dry. Pat, your dog, in the meantime, give him a tasty treat or dab a bit of peanut butter or even a little Snout soother to the paws to lick their feet instead of trying to get the balm off.
